Brooklyn Doran

Brooklyn Doran (she/her) is a queer singer-songwriter from Northwestern Ontario who has been a staple of the Ontario folk scene for over ten years. Doran’s unique sound weaves song and storytelling; the polarity between her music and on-stage personality creates a harmonious blend of wit and humour contrasted by vulnerable lyricism and traditional folk melody. Her most recent release was selected by the Spotify Editorial Team to be featured on "Fresh Finds: Indie" where it garnered over 15,000 streams in its first week. With an impressive touring resume under her belt, Brooklyn has performed on over 300 stages across Canada- including Nunavut's Alianait Arts Festival, Halifax's In The Dead of Winter Music Festival, CMW & NXNE. She has performed at Facebook Canada headquarters International Women's Day to an audience of over 20,000 as well as recently for The NDP party's Virtual Pride Brunch hosted by Jagmeet Singh. She is currently in the studio working on new music with plans to release in 2022.
